Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's 2006 Horoscope

I recently promised to do a belated astrological birthday forecast for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who turned 20 on June 13, and I am a woman of my word. As it turns out, this is an interesting time for the twins.

The Olsen twins' natal horoscopes are very similar owing to the fact that they were born only two minutes apart, and their Ascendants are a mere half degree apart. But the twins are at a very interesting point in their lives, and in their relationship with each other, as their personalities have diverged significantly...at least for a six-month window of time. In their progressed charts, which represents the evolution of the personality, Mary-Kate's Ascendant has just progressed into Virgo (as of the end of May) while Ashley's is still at 29° Leo. This is a very rare moment when they are out of synch on some level.

With Leo on the Ascendant, these girls have been in the spotlight their entire lives, and now MK is entering a more withdrawn phase as the influence of the progressed Virgo Ascendant kicks in. As the Ascendant at 0° Virgo conjuncts the twins' natal Moon, Mary-Kate is likely to be moody. As the Moon is associated with female nature and the Ascendant with the body, she could be at risk for a recurrence of her eating disorder.

By the end of 2006, Ashley's Ascendant will have caught up with Mary-Kate's in Virgo. It will be interesting to see them follow separate paths in the meantime, then converge again when their Ascendants are on the same page. It may be that Ashley pursues life in the spotlight while MK retreats. But by the end of the year, they both could be feeling self-conscious in the glare of fame and ready for some privacy. Hopefully Ashley will not follow in her twin's footsteps in terms of body image issues.

Transiting Saturn in Leo will cross the twins' Ascendant at the end of July and remain in their 1st house through this birthday year. This is a time when they are examining their identities and how the world sees them, and defining their relationship with fame. They are getting to a point where they wanto set boundaries around their public personae.

This could be a very interesting year for the Olsen twins, as Saturn shapes their personalities into more solid adult form, and they experience a sense of individuation from each other unlike anything they've ever experienced.
