Marilyn's Chiron
is at 29 Pisces,
the final degree of the zodiac, trine Neptune
and opposite
Pluto--which perhaps explains his fetishization of pain, suffering and self-mutilation.
See
Marilyn Manson 's chart (Astrotheme) Evan's Chiron, at 28 Gemini,
squares Manson's,
stimulating this tendency toward self-wounding. See
Evan Rachel Wood's chart (Exclusive to CelebAstroBlogy) Marilyn has
called Evan "my double, my twin" {Source},
and this aspect suggests that she holds up a mirror to the darkness within him.
With Gemini on her 7th
house cusp, this idea of being a "twin" to her partner must be
very appealing to Evan.
ERW's horoscope definitely appears to be that of someone who is open to being
molded. With her Sun, Moon, and all four angles in mutable signs, she is receptive
and tends to take her cues from others rather than initiating her own course
of action. Evan is a Full Moon baby with an almost exact Sun-Moon
opposition that, again almost exactly, forms a T-square with Saturn
in Sagittarius
in the 1st house
of identity and appearance. Patriarchal Saturn certainly describes a father
figure/authority figure defining not only her outward appearance (1st house)
but her core identity (Sun/Moon).
Of all her mutable planets, Evan's Pisces
Moon in particular predisposes her to codependency and a tendency to soak up
others' emotions like a sponge. Marilyn has Venus
in Pisces; plus, his Leo Moon is in the 12th
house, natural home of Pisces, also tends him toward a codependent emotional
situation, but there is an element of Leo
narcissism in his wallowing, as distinct from Evan's self-sacrificing emotional
instincts.
Meanwhile, ERW's Mercury
at 0 Libra forms
an out-of-sign opposition to Manson's Chiron, suggesting that by becoming his
partner (Libra) she has helped him become aware (opposition) of, and able to
articulate (Mercury), his pain (Chiron). Perhaps for most couples this would
not be a plus, but I'm guessing that "misery loves company" is a recurring romantic
motif for these two.
Further, Evan's Mercury in Libra falls on Marilyn's Jupiter-Uranus
conjunction,
again making her a sort of mouthpiece or outlet of expression -- in this case,
for his wild, envelope-pushing unconventional behavior and the sense of outrageousness
that comes with the Jupiter-Uranus connection.
Evan's Pluto
at 7 Scorpio
is on Manson's Mars
at 3 Scorpio, fostering a strong sexual chemistry characterized by an intense
power dynamic. There is a sense that he is empowered by her, drawing on her
energy as fuel. Marilyn's Saturn in Aries
forms an almost exact inconjunct
to Evan Rachel's Venus in Virgo, which suggests that he expects her to conform
to certain standards in the relationship, even adjusting the way she relates
to a partner to live up to his self-centered expectations. (It's hard to miss
the way ERW has morphed into a wannabe of Dita von Teese, Marilyn's ex.) Another
inconjunct aspect is found between Evan's Mercury in Libra and Marilyn's Venus
in Pisces, suggesting she needs to adjust the way she expresses herself to fit
his image of what a relationship should be.
With her Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, and Saturn in mutable signs, as well as her
"I don't know, what do you want to do?" Mercury in Libra, Evan Rachel
is definitely the kind of person who becomes enmeshed with her partner, caring
for him perhaps to the point of losing sight of her own needs. Her Pisces Moon
and Virgo Venus
may get validation from being seen as savior, helpmeet and soulmate -- but what
about nurturing, and expressing, herself?
Meanwhile, Manson's ex Dita is much more self-directed and definitely her own
woman. Her Sun-Pluto conjunction in Libra describes not only her identification
with erotic beauty but her need to call the shots in relationships. See
Dita von Teese's chart (Astrotheme, no birth time) Her Venus in Leo
reinforces the idea that she is passionate, commanding, and knows what she wants
in relationships. And the Gemini Moon allows Dita to verbalize -- and move on
from -- her emotions, rather than wallowing in them in the way her ex has made
a career out of. While her Venus may have vibed with Manson's Leo Moon, ultimately
Dita's strong personality may have been too much for him. For better or worse,
a woman (or rather, a girl-not-yet-a-woman) whom he can mold into a specific
image was ultimately more desirable to Marilyn than a mature woman who has crafted
her own desirable persona.
