The twelfth house, the final house of the zodiac, is the house where the Aries "I" completes its cycle and matures to the point of dissolving into a greater cosmic whole (only to reemerge anew in the first house -- it is a circle, after all.) The twelfth house is a tremendously mystical, religious house, showing your deepest subsconscious (including dreams and drug-induced states or addictions) and even your karma and past lives (you can choose how much to read into this house depending on your beliefs.) This house shows that which we keep hidden, often even to ourselves, and in many cases self-destructiveness or self-undoing (that word again: addiction.) But this house can often be a spiritually healing house where we have private time to regroup and deal with deeper issues before facing the world, and planets in this house take on the intensely empathic, sensitive, often excessively giving Pisces attributes. Their energy is usually directed inward and takes place in private, behind the scenes, many times toward the end of helping the suffering or less fortunate. Of course, on the other hand, their actions can be self-pitying, without direction, and -- you guessed it -- drawn toward addictive and other self-destructive behaviors.
